We have been blessed with the amazing opportunity to field Marshall's first ever Six-Man football team. The Marshall Christian Academy Guardians will begin spring practice this April, and their first game is August 27 vs. Baytown Christian Academy. Their home games will be played at Karnack High School's football field, and we encourage everyone in the community to come out and suport the team!

Marshall Christian Academy Football Covenant
March 9, 2010
…..for Jesus' sake!
We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 2Co 4:5
How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. 1Ki 18:21
I _______________________ commit this day to playing football for Marshall Christian Academy. I know that this day I am being called on to make a definite choice and settle it with finality. I ________________________ believe that it is God for me to play football, and that because of that He will enable me to perform all my responsibilities within this endeavor. Because God has given me this opportunity, I will be thankful for what he has done, and I will do it for His sake. By making this decision, I have become a Guardian. I will guard the King’s name; I will guard my heart, and I will guard my brother. I will not let anything come between me and the good of the team like, girls, drinking, foul language, laziness, foolish behavior, and the like.
I am here to play football, not to coach, not to referee, not to administrate, not to criticize, and not to judge. I am willing to play whatever position the coaches decide that is best for the entire team whether that be water boy, center, or tailback. I will not question the coaches’ decision and I will have a good attitude no matter what goes down. I realize that I am here to be apart of something greater than myself and I will not worry myself, my parents, or the coaches with my personal stats, how much playing time I get, critiquing my fellow brothers’ performance, or critiquing the coaches’ performance.
I____________________________ agree to handle problems like a real godly man and come and talk directly with the coach if a problem surfaces and not spread the concern with others.
By making this commitment I promise to work out all summer long as I know that this will prepare me for the upcoming season. I commit to being at ever practice on time and ready to work. I realize that I am still under tutors and governors, and in order for me to speak or share my feedback I will first have to earn the respect of those over me as well as my peers through the following:
1. Discipleship: Mat. 6:33 seek ye first the kingdom and His righteousness
2. Servanthood: Seniors will take care of the freshman. Joh 13:4 took a towel, …. and began to wash the disciples' feet, Mar 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
3. Character: Php 4:8 brethren, whatsoever things are: true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report; virtuous, if there be any praise, think on these things.
4. Work : Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
(Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:1Ki 18:3; Obadiah means work for God
Pro 12:24 The hand of diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
5. Testimony: What’s ours? Don’t let Christ Loose!
1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1Pe 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
1Pe 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
1Pe 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
